Who is eligible for an LTR visa?
Foreigners can apply for an LTR visa if they fall into one of the four categories:
  • Wealthy Global Citizens
    • Assets abroad of at least USD 500,000
    • Investments in Thailand of at least USD 500,000
  • Wealthy Pensioners
    • Age 50 and above
    • Annual passive income of at least USD 80,000
  • Work‑from‑Thailand Professionals
    • Employed by a foreign company

    • At least 5 years of experience in Thailand’s target industries

More freedom – Less tax
  • 10-Year Visa
    The LTR visa is granted for 5 years and can be extended for another 5 years, subject to compliance with visa conditions.
  • Reduced Income Tax Rate
    If you work in Thailand as a highly-skilled professional, your income is taxed at a flat rate of 17% instead of the standard 35%.
  • 0% Tax on Foreign Income
    Foreign-sourced income (e.g. dividends, pensions, investment returns) remitted to Thailand is exempt from personal income tax.
  • LTR Visa for Family
